Where the sour beer movement in the US began. You too can come to this hallowed ground. Although not in the original location it's been the production facility for years now. Always a good selection of JP on tap, solid food choices, nice outdoor area, TVS for sports.

Had a private tour of this establishment. The main room is super tiny, but we were able to go behind the scene.

Visited the 3115 Broad Street location awhile back for a bottle release. As a longtime Jolly Pumpkin fan, it was fun to see where it all started. They are no longer open to the public since the Dexter brewpub opened (see listing for NULL (nl).
The original brewery was tiny and packed with barrels, that unmistakeable aroma in the air of wood-aged beers fermenting away. A small retail area displayed available beers, plus assorted clothing swag in one corner, mainly shirts and hoodies. They have a cooler for to-go beer also. Prices were very affordable and in some cases below retail. They had their current seasonals and the occasional brewery-only releases available, at least during this particular bottle release.
Service is always friendly, and they will answer any beer questions you have. Dexter is a short trip from Ann Arbor, and a not-so-short trip from Chicago (in my case), but definitely worth it!
