This one is on tap served in a frosted 22 oz tumbler.
Pours a light brown peanut butter color and is cloudy and unfiltered. A rich foamy off-white head is quite resilient and produces excellent lacing.
The smell is hoppy, and has an aroma of pine, or dandelions.
The taste is extra bitter and hoppy, with a faint malt flavor. It is a fullbodied and welll balanced flavor in the style of an ESB beer.
The mouth feel is light crisp and refreshing. There is a slightly bitter aftertaste,, and the beer is tangy and well carbonated.
This is a very drinkable slightly bitter beer, along the lines of an IPA or ESB. I would certainly have another Big Horn Red Ale or two when the opportunity presents.
