Served in a very tall pilsner, the beer is a clear gold with a minimal head. I expected a bit of haziness, but this was not a bad looker.
Nose is of clove and banana. There was just a hint of citrus. Where is the Mandarin?
The taste starts as a lighter hefe with some subdued clove, a bit of banana and some wheat. The aftertaste is of oranges. It adds a pleasant bit of complexity, but this beer is a bit underpowered.
The mouth is strictly average and lacks a bit of the slickness I Iike in a hefe.
Ok drinker that did go down easy in the 98 degree heat.
