A seasonal release at C.I. The bartender called it a porter, but it is very much a winter ale.
Pours a garnet red/brown color and is clear. A small thin head disappears quickly.
The smell strong and sweet, with a sugary caramel and bourbon like aroma.
The taste is also sweet, with caramel malt flavors and a mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel is smooth and a bit cloying. There is some heat from the alcohol.
This is a drinkable brew, but not real sessionable. It's a nice winter ale.
