Been awhile since I ran a Saranac beer, pretty much single handedly responsible for the New York average score being as low as it is.
Pours a yellow golden color with some clarity. Quick vanish white head 1/3" tops, down to a film soon thereafter. The aroma had some grain, but barely discernable hops or yeast. I do like the water in Central New York at least.
The taste, I mean, there is nothing off to it, but there is also little substance to it like some of the lesser (most?) light beers out there. In a strange twist of fate, the blandness is also the strongest point of the beer, at least its not bad. Seems to have above average amount of carbonation contributing to the mouthfeel the feeling of thin and mcdonalds levels of Sprite.
Its for the most part striving for mediocrity. I get it, you want an inoffensive beer. I really want to know about the "wheat" part here, not really a style known for having wheat in it.

Revived in the Throwback Variety Pack, Saranac please do this every year; don't wait another two again!!!
Beautiful pouring beer; absolute lot crystal clear and bright gold; head is white, doesn’t last long but glass is never void of white layer.
The nose is bright to me; I know crisp isn’t a smell but it instantly pops in my head; it’s got some fresh grain smell, carries some sweetness; noble hop character; like a floral laden white bread.
The taste is simple and to the point; nothing complex and nothing offensive; it’s got good pale malt character, light sweetness; hops cut through it on the finish; ever so slightly grassy but otherwise nondescript; possibly picking up some hop staleness.
Body is light-medium; quite clean, some light residual sweetness that dries out, mostly; very light bitterness; hops linger a little in the form of a light stickiness on the tongue.

Part of the Throwback 12pk. Bottled in late January (5-6 weeks) as far as I can tell.
Clear gold, with moderate ivory head.
Smell is crackery malt, and fresh, bright spicy+floral+ fruity noble hop aroma.
Taste is light toasted grain, a little bread crust, coriander, black pepper, and a very slight fruity+floral element. Moderate bitterness.
Feel is light-medium, smooth, with moderate, very, very fine, sharp carbonation tingle, that gives a little black pepper bite at the end.
Overall , quite good , and better than I remember it. Seems crisper, and fresher-tasting.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Thin white head recedes quickly, light golden color, plenty of carbonation. Aroma is hop forward with background malt. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavors nice blend of pine, citrus, and herbal hops with malt sweetness.
** Just purchased this beer January 2023, so I guess it must be "un-retired" **
