For the vienna they are using two row, caramel and chocolate malts. Hops are Tettnang and Vanguard.

Here is the beer-Pours brilliant orange. Brick color orange with rusts and amber hues. A fat head of light tan faom that dwindles and lets you see it. Malty nose that is gently breaddy. No caramel, no diacetyl, no dms, no fruity esters. A hint of sweetness from the malt that is just a tickle beyond it's ordinary. That tiny touch is so fragrant and the reason it is is because of the soft and earthy scent from these hops. Taste is quite hearty. Smooth and creamy malt with moderate carbonation. Crisp. Malty and softly breaddy finishes with that light touch of sweetness just at the back of the throat as the beer dries out on the palate perfectly.

Outstanding and really grows on you. If you have not had this style of beer give it a chance. It is a very good lager that pairs easily with any food.

All the beers in Saranac's case had an exceptional appearance. Each one striking in it's color and head presentation. Two different IPA's two different malt flavor profiles and two very different colors. The Vienna was golden underneath. There was an easy to read best by date on the neck of each bottle.

Best by 3/31/16.

Pours a clear dark orange-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, tea, and earthy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, burnt caramel, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that smells solid, but the flavors aren't quite as good to me.
