Bottle from Tops- Derby.Normal looking pour, clear golden with a small foamy head Grainy.y aroma, kind of musty, stale. Taste is also very muted, overall seems watery. Brief glimmer of Citra hops in the taste for a second, before fading away. Not much here.

A: Lemony-brass coloring with orange hues when back-lighted reveals a pristine clarity and a spacious moderately paced effervesce. A stunted head, fizzy, off white sits atop for a brief moment of time. Lacing is rather weak on the vessel.

S: Wet tropical and oranges, pineapple and citron first appear with a soft wheat and pilsner style malt backing. Adequate strength, but short lived.

T: The flavor was oranges and citrus, fairly generous, but also fairly generic in delivery, a bit of tart lemon follows. Creamy tangerine and sherbet notes.

M: A fairly crisp and tingly mouthful, lightly creamy pilsner/wheat style base on the tongue.

O: Initially had a good flavor, fresh wet nose full of citrus-orange, but the flavor kind of dulled and flattened after the next few sips to a muted tart and sour lemon hopping, generic in nature. Dry hopped, short on complexity I liked the daring nature to use citra hops in a pilsener, but this just didn't deliver flavor wise, as expected, after a pretty decent aromatic sense on the nose.

12oz. capped bottle into a Heady Topper stemless snifter. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is a little metallic. Citra hop presence is there but its a little skunky. Beer is pretty drinkable. Light bodied with moderate carbonation and goes down crisp and clean with a big hop bite. Flavor is grapefruit rind and other bitter citrus fruit upfront. Big hop accent at the back. Solid.

I'm not a huge fan of this style but this beer is pretty good. Crisp, clean. A great lawnmower beer.

This beer pours a crystal clear golden color with a huge, creamy white head. It slowly fades to a rocky one finger cap and leaves lots of webbed lacing in its wake.

Smell is very citrus forward. Lemon and orange dominate with some grapefruit, green herbal earthiness and a hint of bready malt.

Taste is the same. Very juicy on the front with a slightly bitter finish.

Feel is where this beer really lost me. It is overhopped and too juicy. Not crisp at all. The finish is juicy instead of dry and lacks carbonation.

Overall this is a decent beer. The flavor is very good, but for a pils the feel is way off. Citra is my favorite hop, but i prefer noble hop flavors in a pils. Save the citra for IPAs.

Light gold color and crystal clear. Large, rocky head which leaves half-complete rings of chunky lace on the glass.

I get smells of green spices, oregano in particular. I also get some thyme. It's attractive and odd in equal parts. Way back, I detect a mild sweetness from the malt.

Smooth start and more dry than I expected. The green spices come through again on the tongue. The swallow and finish are not hop forward like most German Pilsners, but the dryness provides balance to malt base. Short aftertaste. Overall, this beer is so close to the style but the differences make it interesting and worth seeking.

Drank 5 bottles and smashed one on my kitchen floor. Great Citra character and easily drinkable. Not an intense bitterness and the fruity, juicy flavour melds well with the lower IBU. I liked it. Kitchen still smells great.

A: Bright golden color, clear, with moderate, airy head and fine streaming bubbles from the bottom of the glass.
S: Grassy, citrusy hop nose, clean malt.
T: Citrus hop flavor, but only moderate bitterness, letting a fair amount of sweet malt come through. Very clean yeast profile, neutral finish.
M: Needs more carbonation--feels a little limpid.
O: Not what I look for in a good pils, but not too bad of a beer.
