12 oz. Bottle poured into a long stem Treehouse glass.

A murky haze thickens the effect of gold and yellow tones of color. Bubbly, off-white foam cap is pretty thick with decent chunks of lace.
A robust nose, thick with honey sweet golden grainy malty aroma's, coupled with tangy citrus, heady herbs and spices and sweet tropical hoppy notes. Pineapple sweetness and alcohol heat tingle pops up later.
A sharp, bitter-citrus tang feels intense at first, pine tree sap, grapefruit and alcohol heat seem to ride, side by side. Intense hop bitterness lingers, earthy dryness settles in deep. The malt is light looking, golden sweetness and grainy undertones is no joke, a deep malty backbone is both felt and tasted. Light, crisp and then practically full...but maybe a bit "slick" in the finish.
This was purchased at the historic Matt/Saranac brewing factory. The 1888 Tavern is a place to really soak in brewing history and easy vibe.
