not an amazing expression of galaxy hops or anything, its a little too bitter for that, also it has a little of that metallic thing i often get in hop forward saranac beers, but its more modern than a lot of their stuff, and is a nice entry in this series, which has some pretty solid beers in it. its obviously southern hemisphere hops, herbal and intensely hoppy in the aroma, but also with nuances of good weed, lime leaf, and green tea, if i let those come forward in front of the more robust generic hoppiness, and thats true in the flavor too, where some melon, watermelon rind, and juicy citrus come out. its pleasant to drink, light in feel and kind of fluffy, some wheat i would guess in the mash here softening the texture. the fermentation isnt quite perfectly clean, but its mild and its not weird in any way, just slightly english like so many of the beers present as, not a bad thing, actually kind of enhances these hops at the end. a lemon lime soda note, dry earthy grain, minerals and light copper twang, high carbonation, bright and alive on the tongue. good not great, but a step toward modern day relevance, which is more than i can say for a lot of their other hoppy beers. i love saranac, always will, but the ipa types have never been their strong suit. good to see progress with this series!

Can pour into a tulip glass.
Yellow orange color with a white moist head that sticks around for a while. Pine, hops, citrus. Moderate body and carbonation.
