Part of the 12 beers of winter variety pack

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a New Belgium Globe Glass

The beer pours a murky amber/brown color with ruby highlights. About two fingers worth of frothy off white head recedes quickly, leaving behind a small amount of lacing.

The aroma is toasty malts with notes of caramel, and a piney hop character that provides a nice bit of balance.

The flavor is toasty malts with caramel, toffee, and maybe just a hint of chocolate. The hop profile is piney with some floral notes. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.

Overall, this is a very drinkable, solid beer overall. Not my favorite example of the style, but it is probably my favorite beer in the variety pack

Deep amber color with a red hue, two finger head with great retention.
Quite bitter, Not my thing.

Pours a hazy brown color with some amber highlights. The beige head quickly settles leaving some big bubbled suds on the wall of the glass.

The aroma is of toasted caramel and a apricot fruitiness. Perhaps some minty hop notes.

The taste is of toasted caramel or toffee. Some general fruity sweetness. A bit of pine and resin in the hop profile. Doughy.

Moderate feel with tingly carbonation. Sweet on the palate but finishes fairly bitter.

A bready/doughy amber ale with some earthy bittering hops to balance. Reminds me of some old school east coast IPAs.
