Slightly hazy orange with barely a white head.
Some caramel and apple aromas.
Taste the hops and wheat of the beer, along with the caramel and fruit.
Mouthfeel is alright except for a peculiar aftertaste.
Overall this beer is slightly under the mark of okay.

A - A hazy orange color with just a 1/4 of head.
S - Well wheat is predominant but I do smell some citrus hop goodness and malts.
T - Not that bad has a very balanced hop profile, easy drinking wheat flavor and a nice smooth finish. Maybe it's because they labeled it as a "harvest ale" and everyone expected an uber hop experience idk.
M -Light to medium, rather smooth easy to drink.

Overall it's actually very similar to the hoppy lager in that it does have a decent amount of hops and a smooth taste. Yep.

Pulled out of the fall 12 pack. Overall, it's a gently hoppy wheat beer with a mild, floral melon hop taste and crisp citrus kiss in the finish. It's very drinkable, and I wish they knocked down the ABV a bit to make a better session beer. A little research shows this is a Sorachi Ace ale. While I certainly wouldn't mind a bigger hops character, but it's a fine beer and I'll be drinking the other from this mixed box.

12 oz. bottle poured into wine glass.

A - Pours a very hazy yellow-amber. Small amount of carbonation noted. Thickish head appeared which dissipated quite slowly. Good looking beer.

S - Lot's of wheat, and a cheap sweetness smell. An ever so slight touch of hops.

T - Wheat and a small amount of malt up front. Some hints of grass. The small amount of hops I noticed from the aroma are in there, but at a very light amount. The taste while on the pallet isn't terrible, but it goes down from there. The aftertaste features a cheap, buttery-like sweetness. Not pleasant. Gross, actually. Because of that nasty aftertaste, I didn't finish.

F - Crisp and easy feeling. Drinkable feeling, however the aftertaste kills it.

O - The taste while on the pallet isn't all that bad. The wheat taste is decent, as is the small amount of hops. That cheap sweetness in the aftertaste though, is nasty. Kills this beer. I'd rather drink this beer than nearly all AALs, but with a fridge full of better beers, this one went down the drain.

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a small wispy white head that settles into a light ring.

The aroma has a light floral note with a hint of pepper. A touch of a musty perfumey note. Seems a bit odd but not unpleasant.

The beer has a substantial lemony flavor, some lemon rind bitterness and a bready wheat body. Kind of reminds me of that Sam Adams Coastal Wheat brew. Light grassy hop presence to balance the brew; some pepper notes as well.

The feel is light and crisp with active carbonation. Sweet on the palate and finishes with enough of a grassy bitter to balance the beer. Drinks well.

Overall, not a bad beer but not sure why this is a "harvest" beer. Reminds me more of a summer wheat ale.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden straw color with a one finger white head. The head fades rather rapidly leaving some spotty foam on the surface of the brew and a decent lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is a mix of some grainy wheat and bread smells and a bit of of a lemon and grass aroma. Mixed with these aromas is a little bit of caramel and an orange sweetness giving the brew an overall aroma that is of a slightly grainy bready smell.

Taste – The taste begins with a grainy wheat and lightly sweetened taste of a citrus nature of lemon and orange. The sweetness begins fading with the flavor taking on a slightly more bitter and sour flavor as the taste moves on. Other grassy flavors then come to the tongue with a little bit of the sweetness of caramel coming back to the tongue, leaving a decently wheaty taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. Both are rather appropriate for the style and make for an easy drinking brew overall.

Overall – A decent brew but more summer like then fall like overall. Rather refreshing wheat beer with a decent sweetness but yet still crispness.

Pours a dark straw with a thin layer of white head. Smells like a wheat beer (apparently it is a wheat/malt blend). This offering is very light and not at all what I would expect from a "harvest" ale. That said, the finish is semi-dry with a pleasant light hoppiness.

When I think of harvest ales, I think hearty and this offering is far from hearty. Frankly, this is more like a summer ale than an autumn ale. Beers should be both true to style AND true to season. This one belongs with Saranac’s summer sampler, not their fall sampler.

This smells and tastes a bit lemony and wheaty, with a touch of bitterness, and a nice crispness. This is definitely one of the more approachable and decent Saranac beers. It's a brewery that doesn't usually wow me much.

From twelve ounce bottle in the Twelve Beers a Falling collection.

The hops are very nose front in this beer. The pour is bright lemon yellow body with a bit of haziness and a medium white head. The head is disappointingly short lasting, there is spotty lacing of the glass. The taste is crisp, fresh, a touch tart and citrusy. More like a summer shandy than a wheat. Not world class but very enjoyable!

Golden / yellow color with decent head and moderate carbonation. Floral, herbal, citrus aroma. Malt balance is great but there's one element that brings down the whole beer. Not quite sure what it is, but it tastes almost buttery (salty, honey, buttery) to us. This beer just came out, so it's fresh. Eh.
