Sampled from a fresh growler hand delivered to the Sierra Nevada after party of the Celebrator birthday party (and the end of a long weekend at the Toronado BW Fest.)
Beer pours into the glass with a bare wisp of a head and a deep leather brown body with fair ruby highlights.
Smokey caramel malt aroma, soft cherries spiced with a touch of acidity rounds out the nose.
Malty smoky sweet body with a long caramel finish.
As time goes by an apparent sourness grows in the finish accentuated by a roasted malt character.
