Spotted this new beer on my last trip to the brewpub. It's been "in the tank" for quite awhile, and regular patrons were getting kind of antsy. Picked up a growler, because I couldn't stick around.
Poured an opaque yellow into my Sierra Nevada Wheat glass. A little on the dark side.
Smells of light fruit sweetness and and a slight sourness.
Tastes of ripe bananas, with a hint of yeast,and clove spiciness.Light and enjoyable.
It's a shame this will never be bottled, since this batch will probably be the last for quite awhile. I'd much prefer this to other more readily available hefeweizens. Perfect for hot weather back porch-sitting.
