This a one of the special beers that Sequoia Brewing Company had on tap in February of '06. It was very dark in color with a slite malty smell. The taste was slighty malty with a nice lite hop flavor. VERY smooth and a nice body. Was very sad to see this one run out, hopefully they will make it again soon. One afternoon at Sequoia, I must have saw them pour thirty of these in a half hour. Great beer, stop in and hopefully they will have it on tap.

Black, poured with a quarter inch head that dwindled quickly into a sticky lace halo.
Sweet dark malts in the nose, with a subtle hop spiciness.
Hop bite right away- crisp and clean, mellowing out into sweet malt with just the barest hint of rich chewiness.
Not thin feeling at all, rather satisfying and easy to down a few without feeling like you overdid it. Sequoia might want to seriously think about adding this brew to their seasonal rotation, since I wasn't the only one bellied up to the bar that was enjoying a few pints of this.
