Pours a rusty red amber color with a light taupe, very thin head. Very little head at all, in fact. It has a huge grapefruit nose. A very grapefruity flavor. Balanced well with the grain. Nice slick, wet mouthfeel. Finishes a little crisp, but mostly juicy. Right up my alley.

On tap from the place it was brewed
Pours a red ruby cinnamon burnt color very attractive nice white head stuck around for the whole ride and laced all the way down
Smells of Carmel and pine very unassuming
Taste is :) rich sweet carmel almost spicy and then followed with an awesomely balanced hoppy pine
Mouthfeel very lightly carbonated and thin make this go down easy and scary fast
Overall this is called a red ipa at the brewery, I like it a lot, very good and balanced it surprised me how rich it is in flavor

Sampled 11/12/2010 at the brewpub. This is one of the specials so no info given about the beer.
Pours light red/orange, clear, tall white head that lasts and laces.
Aroma is mostly very sweet caramel but also some citrusy hop notes.
Flavor is not as thick and sweet as the aroma suggests but still heavy on the caramel. Moderate bitterness and citrus makes me think this is an imperial red. Fair amount of pine too. Medium CO2.
Body is medium/heavy like many big red but could probably stand to be a lighter to increase drinkability.
