Poured out of the bottle extremely flat. I tried to get some nice foamy top, but completely unable to. Has the appearance of watered down and a little cloudy iced tea. No visible carbonation. No foam. No lacing. Looks like a soft drink.
Smells very faintly of , well , not much.
Taste is pretty smooth , though. A tiny bit of earthy bitterness. No flavor seemed to really pop otherwise. Initially flat on the mouth but with some tinglyness. Aftertaste was the best part.. Bitterness disappeared but the earthy tone stuck with me.
Eminently forgettable.

On tap at the Foundry, Parktown Quarter.
A: Brown/reddish with a head that dissipates quite quickly due to little carbonation
S: As the name suggests, has a honey/caramelish scent due to lactose addition
T: Not as sweet as you might think but a great combination of golden honey with hints of cream in the middle. Exceptionally smooth due to reduced carbonation.
M - A decent texture in the mouth, that is perhaps just mariginally thin i felt.
Overall, a great sweet ale, that is not overly sweet yet retaining itself as a very drinkeable beer.
Serving type: on-tap

on tap in the waterfront: Deep yellow gold colour...smells like honeycomb...assertive...nice somewhat sweet gold honey taste?...done very well, the honey is subtle enough not to be overdone...a bit sneaky..heh, heh...and this is not a bitter, it's sweet and heavier!

Appearance: orange/red-tinted honey, small head, no lacing
Smell: smells like honey, with some vegetative hops notes, definitely sweet.
Taste: sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. One wonders how much the name is influencing your tasting, because "milk and honey" seems like a great description. Promotional material does say that honey actually goes into this one, though. Honey, creamy, with enough hops to back it up.
Mouthfeel: a bit reminiscent of boddingtons, once the nitro has disipated. slightly creamy, good finish and aftertaste.
Drinkability: if you like a beer on the sweeter side (while still not being Belgian-syrupy), this would be a good choice. I tend to get tired of sweeter beers quickly, but I enjoyed this one to the end.
