A wonderful brew that deserves more credit especially for coming out of South Africa!!
The flavour is sweet and bold, delicious and assertive, while still being manageable and smooth!
Aroma is of a sunny meadow ( honey, sweet malt, has some similarity's to Duvel)
Head is about medium strength, lacing is quite acceptable!
Overall, an enjoyable strong bold brew that will push you off your stool if you are not careful, the abv was also quite well hidden!

Appearance: little head, no lacing, hazy gold color. Not very appealing.
Smell: very vinous, and definitely high alcohol. A non-beer-drinking friend said it smelled like grape juice.
Taste: warming alcohol is unfortunately the dominant taste, some fig taste that I associate with some other barleywines I've had.
Mouthfeel: carbontaion is too low, heavy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: weakest of the beers at Mitchell's I've had - this one seems to be intended for getting drunk quickly, and not much else.
