Look: orange in appearance with a small white creamy head. Effervescent with no particulate matter.
Smell: wheat, bread, Corn. No cherries on the nose for me.
Taste: Wheat, sweet, concerned this will become cloying as it warms. No doubt due to the high alcohol content. The alcohol warms at the end but is not present upfront which is quite nice. I don't know where the cherries.
Feel: Thick, full, chewy as one would expect of the style.
Overall: I had higher hopes for this one. But, as is it is one dimensional. Would like the cherries to stand out more and add some tartness. As a sour wheat I think I would have liked it better. Still a solid brewery with great beers!

Somewhat cloudy copper-amber pour. Some lacing.
Smell is odd, a vegetable-like cherry fruit with some peanut butter. Odd, but not terrible.
Taste follows the nose with the nut/ peanut butter aspect, but also imparts tasty caramel. Some herb/ spice too, clove for sure. The cherries are subtle, never too sweet, and barely are they tart.
Feel is smooth and creamy, medium. Nice.
A tasty, great-feeling wheatwine style example.

22 oz. bomber poured into small chalice
(10% ABV printed on bottle)
L: mostly clear gold-amber ... definitely some red in it; pushes up minimal head, no more than 1/3-inch tall, offwhite foam that does stick at the very top; keeps a think collar of offwhite/beige foam; color has a consistent red twinge to it that's arguably unique ... very cool
S: biscuity malt for days, almost pops your nose, then as it warms the sour grapes/wine aroma kicks in; as it warms more, the cherries arrive ... cherry kolache; can smell a bit of alcohol
T: tripel ... not a ton of clove or banana but it has that nutty/hint of clove thing American-made tripels have; the cherries add a lot of sweetness, but the wine barrels kick in some tight grape tartness to balance ... and it's a bit hot ... can definitely taste/feel some warmth from the alcohol
F: nothing overly remarkable in any direction, very simple, a bit slick, medium weight
O: a true achievement for Rahr's ... the added cherries could've taken this brew into cherry soda range, but the brewer knew how to handle such an addition, and the overall effect is a complex and tasty brew that's almost a bit too easy to drink despite some warmth from the 10% ABV; I bought just one bomber, I'll buy at least a couple more if I can find some -- there seems no doubt this beer will age well, and the way it drinks right now, it's damn near perfect
