Looks typical and had a small head. Nice aroma has me anticipating. Taste is good. Very nice hop blend. Lacing is good. Has a hint of some sweetness. No bitter aftertaste. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Overall a really nice DIPA.
On draft at Ron’s Corner Tavern Wednesday Pint Night.

Pours an effervescent amber with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Great lacing & pretty good head retention
S: Faint cattyness, breadyness builds once warm, some pine
T: Grapefruit, tangerine, & breadyness up front, dryness & sweetness. Piney, grapefruity. dryness, plus breadyness as this warms. Finishes catty, with sweet cakeyness, plus a little tangerine
MF: Medium body, restrained, nice balance
A very nice DIPA, bought a single, but will buy more of this in the future as long as it is this fresh

Interesting dark golden color with limited carbonation. Taste is mostly smooth with a slight caramel hop clash. Decent malt profile.

Pours a combination of lightly hazy golden with some touches of orange thrown in to darken it a bit. Head is two fingers off white on an aggression pour.
Aroma is good caramel malt backbone but hops are kind of light for a double dank IPA, more like light vegetable notes, sprinkling of pine needles and herbal hints.
Taste well there are some hops in this after all the nose did a good job of down playing them for sure. Good malty backbone caramel notes some dank hops finally herbal, tobacco grapefruit rind with pine and herbal notes that linger into the finish. Mostly reminds me of an Old Ale then a I2PA. but the taste is better then the nose that is for sure, good alcohol kick to it.
Mouthfeel is big almost full and chewy carbonation adds a touch of pep.
Overall eh doesn't smell dank but tastes pretty dank so go with worth a try , personally I prefer my IPA's to smell like good bud but that is just me.

Brief impression from a 12 fl oz can:
9.2% ABV. "Double dank IPA."
Warm alcohol-wise, with a tired boring hop profile and a run of the mill 2-row pale malt backbone.
More underwhelming fare from a brewery known for precisely that.
I do love the name of the beer, so I suppose their marketing team is to be commended.

On tap. Pours a dark golden color with a minimal head that doesn't leave lacing. Aroma of dank and pine hops with dank starting and finishing the nose. Taste is dank hops and a subtle but not ran off note of malt with a herbal, pine finish. Medium body and medium carbonation.
Very solid hop presence and execution. Enough malt to balance it out and make it very drinkable. ABV is well hidden and all the hops work together. It surpassed the expectations I had of it.

Rich, copper color, some hop haze, tan head, aromas are piney hops, some citrus, and a significant malt backbone.
The hops are up front on the tast, with a pretty dank bite, which is appreciated, and then the beefy malt backbone to smooth things out.
This beer is worth acquiring. Nicely done by Rahr.
