Appearnace: hazy light orange in color with a 1" head.

Smell: yeast, hints of orange, and some light coriander spice comes through to the nose.

Taste: grainy malt. Mild orange citrus, decent amounts of coriander and pepper, some grassy tones, and a mellow bitterness create a bit of an unbalanced beer.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lighlty crisp from start to finish. Spicy aftertaste.

Drinkability: this beer didn't refresh as hoped. There are much better beers at Brewer's Art.

A- Pours a hazy pale yellow... very pale yellow, with a small white head that slowly dissipated.

S- I am getting straw and yeast on the nose with some subtle copper (metallic) notes.

T- The straw and yeast comes through in the flavor of the beer, combined with some very prominent coriander. Finishes a bit drier with the coriander than I would expect from a Wit.

M- Thin body. Slightly grainy. Adequate carbonation.

D- Not bad. I could have a couple of these in a night.

Notes: I am re-reviewing this beer after having a bad pint two weeks ago. That last keg must have suffered some sort of infection, as this pour was fine, and I had never had a bad beer at The Brewer's Art otherwise.

a: served in a Brewer's Art chalice, the beer is a lightly cloudy yellow with low retention 3.5

s: dull wheat that lacks to complex spiciness of some wheat beers, light banana and doughy yeast with aged hop aromas, quite uninteresting

m: light body with a carbonation that starts on the high-medium side and dies out by the end

t: dull wheat with a bland doughiness, the coriander mentioned on the menu barely shows and the orange peel just doesn't, hop flavors are light, finishes with a little
spicy note and a clean bitterness, generally pretty watery, a suitable wit but nothing more

d: easy enough for one or two, just not interesting enough to make me want them

Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head. Floral funky nose. Flavor is earthy, leafy, slightly floral, and a funky bite that really bites down on the backside too. Feel is good on the liquid, but the carbonation is a bit full and interferes with the feel overall. A nice witbier that leans to the earthy side.

Just tried this beer a couple of days ago and was disappointed. I was hoping for and expecting pronounced spiciness on the nose and the same - plus a later hoppy-fruity attack - on the palate. I didn't get any of that. It seemed quite bland overall. I tried it after a Schwarzbier, Ozzy and Resurrection (not to mention some fries), so maybe my senses were clobbered by then, but this first impression was not a good one.

A - Very, very pale hazy yellow, sort of like pure lemon juice, with a two finger head and a touch of lacing that formed as a thin ring.

S - A melange of fresh cut vegetables, notably: green peppers, corn and cabbage. It doesn't really strike me as appetizing.

T - Buttered popcorn jellybeans! The foulest jellybean flavor of all captured in a beverage. At first I thought I was mad, but others tried it and agreed. It was hard to put that flavor aside to examine the rest but there is some fresh green pepper flavor underneath. The aftertaste is a harsh foul bitter with a touch of buttered popcorn jellybeans lingering.

M - Extremely harsh from carbonation, thin and parching. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!

D - To finish this brew, I had to hold my nose. This is among the worst beers I have ever had. It did provide a unique and interesting experience though. I will never have this again. I would not wish this brew on my worst enemies.

Had this one on tap this Friday at Brewer's Art. Heard a lot of "trash talk" about this one last year. This is supposedly a different recipe. Great tap handle by the way--a modified bowling trophy.

Pours a bright, hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Excellent lacing and retention. Aroma of wheat, coriander and lemon peel. All those aromas come back into the brew, with either the lemon or the coriander taking main stage as you drink. Flavor profile is subdued and the mouthfeel is light, making this one a great summer quencher. Drinkable on a warm evening, and became an perfect match to a white pizza with borsin, mushrooms and wilted spinach.

This is the latest summer seasonal from Brewer's Art, and it's a good one. A nice hazy lemon yellow with a finger of white head and quite good lacing. Smell is a husky wheat with a slight bit of spiciness, maybe some coriander. Taste is a nice refreshing lemongrass wheaty coriander mix, very well balanced and smooth. Medium/full bodied with a slightly dry finish. The spices on this are really subdued but lend just enough flavor to make it an excellent thirstquenching summer beer that could easily last a session.
