Thanks to bl00 for this one from NBS BIF #007. 12oz can poured into 10oz fluted tulip. Poured a lovely dark reddish-brown color with a bit over a half-inch of light brown head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma was, as expected, nicely malty, with a tinge of yeast spice.
Very similar flavor profile, hits all the notes one expects from the style.
The body was pleasingly medium full, had good carbonation that carried all across the the tongue. There was a bit of yeast bite on the semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, especially for the ABV. Overall, a very nicely executed take on the style. Worth trying if you see it.
