Tasted by half-pint at the Sussex Beer Festival 06, Hove Town Hall, along with Duff (Rastaman). Its actually one of only two beers during the whole session that I remembered to write any notes about, not because this is particularly good, but because I finally felt tired of talking all the time~~ Gravity-dispensed from a firkin.
A: pale amber hue, almost no head (naturally), good clarity and low carbonation.
S: very mild, earthy and floral hops along with pale malts biscuity note; quite simple theme but rather hoppy, given that it comes extremely fresh. The Boadicea hop variety used in this beer smells like its related to the extensive Goldings family.
T: slightly citrusy flavour expands quickly on the palate, gradually overwhelming the tongue along with its intensifying, 3D bitter hops, leaving a slightly tannic and very dry bitterness in the lingering aftertaste.
M&D: a lively and well-structured bitter it is, while the lingering bitterness brings tremendous joy to this one-hop variety beer. Thirst-quenching.
