Funny how a lot of IPAs and APAs almost taste the same... This one seems more an IPA, really. Anywho, into a pint glass, poured a golden amber with good head and tons of lacing. Heavy floral hop aroma, perhaps a little pine streak too. Taste is a dream, strong on floral hops but a really nice subtle malt spine, keeping it in balance. Well done. Carbonation is about right, and just a little over medium body, quite nice. Overall, I want to bring a growler of this home, but don't have the room on my flight. Damn.

Clear, slightly orange tinted amber look. Fresh, spice & a smidge of pine, in the aroma. Good, pine/herbal tinged flavor, with a moderate and lasting bite.

another one of those overly balanced half american pale ales, that seems to add too much malt richness to the mash at the expense of a truly hop forward experience like the style asks for. this looks nice though with a little color and a lasting head. its nose is hops first, bitter primarily, a little vegetal, and with grassy and light unripened citrus character. malt is sweet at first in the taste but gets caught quickly by the trailing hop intensity. it balances mid palate, and the hops ride out the finish, more bitter than anything else unfortunately. its medium bodied an just a little still on the bubbles, but i could see myself drinking a ton of this in the absence of a more compelling craft option. i dont think its the best the brewery is capable of, but its satisfying enough, if lacking identity.

A fine example of a pale ale with a light copper color, a slightly spicy nose, a nice hop balance with hints of citrus and pine flavors to the medium malt body. The head was appropriate for the sampler glass. With an ABV of 5.5% and an IBU of 32 this is a good transition beer from the Pale Ale to their Liberty IPA.

Had the Sharpton in a 16 ounce glass. Poured somewhat cloudy with a small head.
It had a clean, mild hops scent
The taste was nicely mild as an APA should be. It has nice pine and citrus notes.
Feels smooth on the tongue and a little scratch on the throat.
Overall a very niece American Pale Ale.

Enjoyed a pint nonic at the brewery in Billings, Montana.
A little on the brassy side in appearance for an APA. Clear, moderate head, decent lace. Mild nose. Sweet, balanced, unassuming.
A good, not great beer. I enjoyed it enough and at 5.5 ABV and 32 IBU, an easy going session beer. I could enjoy several of these and have fun doing it but it just isn't good enough to be rated among the heavyweights.

A: Pours an orange/golden color. A small bubbly white head forms, but recedes in an instant. Nice sticky spiderweb lace is left down the glass.
S: Floral and citrus hops up front. Some light sweet malt as the aroma lingers.
T: Floral and citrus hops again. It is not overly bitter, but there are a lot of hops. Very little malt sweetness.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. Soapy and oily as well. Pretty easy to drink. The bitterness does not really detract from the drinkability at all. I can quaff a few of these with no problem.
This is a good beer, and something to get if at the brewpub. Though it is more like an IPA than anything. Not a bad thing at all, just not what I was looking for in an APA.

If this is a pale ale, then piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining. It's a full-bore IPA. Very nice, citrus and pine. Malts come through well, probably some vienna and crystal if I had to guess. Drinks really well, very balanced. I could definitely get used to having this on a daily basis, who knows when I'll be back here next.
