Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with medium retention and no lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with sweet ester is not that great but still enticing. Taste is a bit too much dominated by candi sugar with some interesting ester and not much presence form yeast. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not as bad as some of their other beers but too sweet for style with a lack of yeast profile .

500 mL brown bottle, no freshness date.
Pours a hazy brown with an orange tinge. Thick, frothy, off-white head of tiny bubbles. Very thick layer of sediment in the bottle.
Spicy, yeasty aroma.
Very sweet with notes of ripe fruit - currants and raisins. Caramel is present early on and phenols come through as the beer sits on the tongue, as well as faint alcohol, although it is quite well hidden considering the abv. Spicy and bready flavours dominate, followed by a grainy finish, moderately dry.
Mouthfeel is thick and pleasant. Carbonation is moderate.
As I poured the second half of the beer into my glass, I got a lot of yeast, too much, and it was overpowering. A very careful pour is essential for this one.

Interesting artwork on the label, a sort of double edge sword with orc-like warriors in the background. The label says Rousse Triple or Red Tripel, whatever...
Appearance: I split this Beer with a friend, and the top half had nothing to do with the bottom half. The top was mahogony red, with a strong fluffy head, and my half was sceptic tank brown with plenty of sediment and only a slight lace.
Smell: Bready yeast, a little prune and butterscotch, lactic and a touch of solvent, that turned to a more leathery aroma near the end.
Taste: Had a sourness that may or may not be infection-related, but besides that, it was like what I could only imagine those liquid yeast starter packs would taste like if you drank them straight up, mixed with a little grain alcohol to give it a strong bite. All yeast, with little to no malt to give any body. I have another bottle sitting in my cellar, we'll see in a few months if the yeast will give way to something else flavor-wise.
