I gotta say I was REALLY surprised how nice this new area and Comerica is. Great servers and killer selection. Did a side by side All Day vs. Two Hearted and couldn't believe how hoppy and dank All Day was. Can't wait to drink it all summer long there!

Nice, they lowered the price of bottles from 8.50 last year.

Enjoyed the All Day last sunday at the game. Worth the walk from my seats.

Let's call the $9 price tag the Verlander, Fielder and Cabrera tax. I can't wait to be sitting in the bleachers with a pint of All Day IPA or Oberon.

If I were to pay $9 for a beer, it'd definitely be the beer with the higher ABV. Bigger bang for the buck -- that's just me though. Do they even sell Budweiser at Comerica anymore? Or is it that so few people drink it, I just never see it?

Had an Oberon last night for the first time since last September, and. Well. Dat mouthfeel.

Thanks for this. I like some of those bottle choices, but the bottles probably cost as much -- or more -- than draft, so...

I think Miller won the contract and thus no Bud.

I was wrong, but still doesn't make me feel much better.

I think you're over thinking this. Bottles and draft will always be that high of a price at a bigger event venue.

    Obviously.

    Doesn't mean it's a fair price.

Okay, so now that I've spent the last several minutes reading the banter on this thread I come away scratching my head and wondering why the "surprise" and "outrage" over the pricing on the craft beers at the park. At least we have a good beer choice now. The prices are going to be high regardless as we all know the billionaire owners need ALL THE MONEY. I typically have not wasted my dough on the macro swill options available...so now I'll raise my glass (insert plastic cup here) of craft beer and cheer on the Tigres!!!

This is the correct response. If you're bitching about being able to get good beer at the game but actually having to pay ballpark prices for it, well...

I am one of the servers at the Michigan craft beer stand at Comerica Park and my boss assures me stuff like this is going to be a regular feature for weekend games like Friday we had a half barrel of hopslam, Saturday was a quarter barrel of black note stout and 36 bottles of KBS, and today we will have bottles of arbor brewing company's jackhammer old style ale, all of our special feature beers start at the first pitch and we have limited availability so come early.

PS: How is it possible to have an entire post about the craft beer stand at comerica park, without even one mention of out signature food item Bacon on a stick
