I heard Troegs was having some problems with the legal hoops with getting the labels for the bottles approved. I heard it was going to be out in bottles in June but the month is almost over.

I also got to try this beer in Rochester, NY and I thought it was an interesting beer. I am not sure I would seek it out again, but it was certainly one of the more interesting beers I have consumed. As a warning, if you are sensitive or allergic to Mango AT ALL, do not drink this beer. It is pretty much like drinking straight Mango juice with a good DIPA mixed in. I popped two benadryl and got some sleep and was ok in the morning thankfully...

Where do I acquire them, right now?

EDIT: HOLY SHIT SUPER EXCITED. Used to work at a really dope indian restaurant, and I was told of these magnificent creatures, but it was illegal back then. NOW THEY WILL BE MINE.

Had some earlier tonight - looks like apple cider and drinks like liquid mango and hops. Awesome beer.

Looks like label was approved- 12 oz bottles, NICE! I hope that 6packs get distro to NY or NJ!

Do Scratch beers hit distribution? They never have in VA...

I've seen them on draft all around NYC in the past, here's to hoping these bottles get distro too.
I may be mistaken but I believe this is the first scratch beer to be put into 12oz bottles, hopefully that's a sign of positive changes and broader distribution for the scratch series.

You're mistaken. Virtually all the scratch beers are/were available in 12oz. Brewery only essentially though capone's always seems to get some.

Ah, thanks for the correction. I've only seen the draft in NYC, I guess my wishful thinking got the best of me.
So in all likelihood I will never see these 12oz bottles.. Hope I can find it on draft though! Sounds delicious.

No, nearly every scratch beer since 2007 has been in 12oz bottles. Only since Troegs moved to Hershey have they stopped with the scratch bottling and made it primarily draft only.

The scratch beer 83- Impending descent i believe was the largest amount of scratch bottles produced to date and even that (in bottle form) was not distributed and sold out in a matter of days on site.

Edit: sorry for my reply taking so long. It appears as though my slow typing has made my reply redundant. Regarding Capones, I dont think the bottles are officially "distributed" there, more like purchased from the brewery and taken there by a 3rd party.

Already released. Scratch #100. Pale ale hopped with El Dorado. I had a growler of it. Not bad, but it didn't blow me away.

It was on tap at McLadden's in Hampden MA on Monday night. I put myself into a coma with one after the devastating B's loss. Good stuff.
