After the Ebaneezers fest last year and many krieks later I thought I had a softball sized hole in my stomach the next morning. I also enjoyed that beer and the price made it even better!

I couldn't do more than a few sips of that beer before everything went numb.

It was awful! I hate driving hungover. The sad thing is I drank lots of water all day and night and felt pretty good when I went to bed but it didn't even help me the next morning.

Did you enjoy the JA/Lawson's Collab? Did not have the Brett Biere de Garde but the Smoked Maple Lager was a mess.

100% agree. I personally hate sours, but find that using sours you can trade for any beer you want to try. You'd be surprised how much value the Coolships have.

I liked the Brett Biere de Guarde, recently opened it after a year and still drinking great.

I thought it was fine. Definitely not JA's best effort, but didn't think it was a mess either. FWIW - had one within a week of the release (5/18), and one over the weekend of July 4th, and thought it had markedly improved.

Perhaps 100% satisfied was hyperbole in my original post, but every JA beer I've had besides the Brett Biere de Garde, I'd reach for again, especially given the price point. The Brett Biere de Garde was at a slightly higher price point (still TOTALLY reasonable!), but just didn't do it for me.

I would be somewhat surprised if that's the case with this one, and I would encourage you to not buy it simply to trade. Just one guy's opinion here though!

I am a fan of JA as well, most of there stuff is very good, especially for the price. Have a couple of the smoked Maple lagers left will have to see if it improved.

Yeah, hoarding to trade is a bit frowned upon, though it's a fine line between trading what you bought and buying just to trade...

The Coolships are delicious, super limited, and only available at the brewery, hence they have extremely high trade value. Not every sour has that kind of pull. This JA beer won't go for anything more than locals, if that, unless it proves to be a 95 type beer. Brett Biere de Garde was a decent attempt, but nothing special. Best thing about it was the price.

So just to clarify, on Saturday they will have bottles or just growler fills of BA Framminghammer and BA Smoked Maple Lager? It sounds as if it'll be growler fills only? I really want bottles....

Those HFs were excellent. Any interest in a Cantillon Gueze 100% 750ml?

How much should I expect to pay for a growler of BA Framminghammer, $30? How long is a growler good for once its opened?

Im curious how long a growler of BA Framminghammer could sit in my fridge unopened and still be ok... any ideas?

Opened, a day and a half tops. Unopened, close to two weeks.
