Anyone want to bring a couple of these down to the HotD 20th Anniversary Party?

 

Will this release hit distribution or is it brewery only?

Hey, thanks for asking. Another generous Washington beer drinker/geek has already grabbed a couple of bottles for me. I am at session #2, so please come raise a beer with me!

 

I had a chance to try this on tap @ the UBG this evening, and promptly bought two more bottles as a result of that $8 goblet. It's very, very good this year, tons of bourbon and chocolate and a lot more body than last year. I'll go out on a limb and say it's Parabola good.

 

A buddy of mine lives pretty close to the UBG, any idea on when this will sell out? I'm hoping to get him to grab me a couple bottles.

 

They had multiple sealed cases out on the floor today, didn't seem to be selling very fast even though the line to the counter was never less than about a dozen people. To be safe, I'd say ask him to get over there in the next couple days if possible. I was surprised to see they hadn't sold out already, considering how fast Cowiche went (although, $4.75 + 4-bottle limit vs. $15 + 2-bottle limit explains a lot of that)...

 

I saw it at Whole Foods, $17.99/bottle.

 

Thanks for the info, I also noticed they have it on draft. Do they do growler fills? I'd assume if they were doing fills they would limit to 32oz.

 

No growler fills.

 

And the fact that many, many more people enjoy pale ales/IPAs than bourbon barrel aged imperial stouts.

Had it on tap on Friday and picked up another bottle. Just a fantastic beer.

 

I noticed that it has been renamed to its new name on BA, but it still shows as 9.5% and there are no vintage notes indicating the abv/name history. Has anyone already submitted additional notes like these?

 

I submitted the name update, but that was it. I think I offered to submit a new photo since the label/name has changed, but I haven't done that yet. You're probably right, notes about the name history and ABV would probably be useful additions.

 

Anyone know if bottles are still available at Fremont's tasting room as of today (Monday the 14th)? I think I need to pick up a few more ...
