Speaking of stuff that's coming into the province... Adam's just confirmed that the next cantillon shipment will include geuze, kriek, rose, LP kriek, mamouche, and fou foune. Fucking awesome.

Read that… I'm leaving work for BC the minute I hear about it. Gonna need a big bag this time.

This is exactly the kind of reason I started this thread - I don't want to miss out on the good stuff and I want BA's to get the competitive advantage :grinning:

    Any idea of landing date?

Nothing yet. Confirmed as of this morning, so could be any time in the next few months. I'd guess maybe december?

That ought to give me enough time to drink some room into the cellar.

Anyone else been thru the taps at Four Winds recently? Sour cherry saison was pretty nice, not mindblowing but interesting and pretty tasty. Their white IPA is super awesome, not growler-able though :slight_frown:

So has anyone tried the Red Racer Imperial IPA yet? I'm curious to hear some thoughts on it. I bought two bottles based purely on hype factor and I kinda struggled to get through one bomber of it. It tastes... off. I'm curious if this is just my palate being weird or if there is actually something wrong with the beer. It has this almost lactic kick in the aftertaste that is fairly off-putting to me. I'm also not a huge fan of the overt maltiness of the body.

I noticed that same lactic thing going on in their regular IPAs ever since they switched locations. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, although I did try it maybe four months ago and I found it to be surprisingly good at the time. I keep going back and forth with this beer, and I'm beginning to doubt it's my palate changing from month to month. I've only noticed the lactic sourness thing on the aftertaste after they switched locations, though.

Anyway, any other opinions? Am I just crazy?

Yeah!! I was going to stop by Brewery Creek today after work to assess the Bruery stock situation, probably won't be there yet but worth a shot.

Nice! If it's at Legacy chances are it's around everywhere else too

Limit of 3 bottles of Lustrum from Brewery Creek, they have lots though. I am drinking it now

It's not Belle. But it's pretty good.

Ahahah good work. I actually dropped by Legacy too and picked one more up. Part of me wants to go back for more, part of me thinks 4 will be fine. At 9.4% I can only imagine it will cellar pretty well so that part of me wants more...

I think I prefer this to Belle, and frankly I cannot wait to see how it ages. Already there's so much funk there, but unlike the belle they didn't over barrel it - no oak domination this time around - so with any luck, in one or two years it'll really ramp up in sourness and round out, like BOP and Mad Bruin are doing right now, and be something really special. What a fantastic anniversary beer... crazy to think it's only been 5 years, isn't it?

    Cheers!

Also, when did legacy start giving out reusable bags? This thing is awesome!

Went by 16TH St today, and they had a 2 bottle limit!? That's the first time I've ever been limited there aside from Fou Foune. Apparently some guy went in earlier and tried to buy all of them, so at least I got my 2. I got the last Wildflower Saison on the floor as well. Surprised they didn't have more as they usually order a tonne of everything there.

Grabbed 2 more Lustrum and 1 more Wildflower at Legacy. No limits there. Also had 3 cases of Lustrum left but I don't think those will last today.

Funny how there isn't much buzz on social media about the Lustrum.
