Imperial hands down. Breakfast is really good, but Imperial is a completely different beast

No comparison. Drink fresh or drink a year later. Best non BA Imperial Stout around IMO!

I've been waiting on Imperial Stout for a while. I've never aged beer before but I think this will pop my cherry from everything I've read. Will drink one fresh then stash the other 3 away for years to come.

Dark Horse Plead the 5th is the best regular Imperial Stout, this would be 2nd. Plead the 5th is so smooth for what it is. Founders Imperial Stout comes close to Plead the 5th though.

So, do you guys prefer this (the Founders Imperial Stout) or the Stone RIS/ Stone Espresso RIS

Chuck Norris doesn't age. He matures like a Founders Imperial Stout.

Drake's in Kalamazoo I know still has a few bottles of last year's and I think Tiffany's does as well. Was at Harding's Family Market and saw some of this year's out already.

Stone Espresso isn't really a fair comparison as it is more of a coffee stout and thus FIS has no coffee in it, but between Stone RIS and FIS I would take the Founders everytime. This really is one of the top RIS on the market and I haven't really had one that I feels beat it IMHO.

We did a taste test Sunday with FIS 2012 vs. two year old Thirsty Dog Siberian Night. My wife preferred the Siberian Night, I called it a tossup.

The extra year may have also made a difference. I find that, with many beers, two years is the sweet spot.

FIS came out in January, 2012. So that's 23 months. The Siberian Night was purchased in DEcember 2011. So that's 24 months.

I've only had Founders Imperial Stout a few times but imo it is the best beer Founders brews.

Ah, I see. i'm just going on when it came out on NoVA. It may very well have 12/2011 on the label.
