Actually, I think the history of this particular mead goes back to late '09 when a really small batch was made and called Bourbon Barrel Banana French Toast. Batch 2 came out in the spring of '10 in the 187ml bottles with the same name. At St Paddy's Day '12, batch 3 was released in the same bottle format and labeled Bourben Barrel Banana French Toast (spell check definitely not used there). Batch 4 was released on St Paddy's Day '13 in 375ml bottles and renamed (due to length of name as stated elsewhere in this thread) to Bourbon Barrel French Toast. This new mead is aged in rye whiskey barrels instead of bourbon, but expect the recipe, and therefore, taste to be closer to the last batch rather than previous versions. Then again, I could have made all this up too.

Based on previous years do you think there will be any of these bottles left Monday night when I head to Centerline?

I heard they did growlers of the Bourben Barrel Banana French Toast. Is this true?

Yes, somethings will be gone but they will still have a lot. Years past somethings last until the next summer.

If it was posted on the internet, it's gotta be true.

Thanks all for clearing this up. I am not a Kuhnhenniseur. I only play one on a barstool at solstice twice a year..

It's true. Computers run the internet. Computers lack the ability to lie.

Looking forward to the release. I only live 3 miles away.

Bring the umbrellas or waterproof gear if your planning to stand in line. Rain is expected and in the 40's. I'll bring extra umbrellas and try to be there soon enough to park close to the door. We can call it our "heating station" and switch out. I'll even throw something in there to warm us up.

Looking forward to meeting some of you.

They are starting to break some barrels tonight for a preview. Uh, yea. I'll be there.

    Safe travels all.

Buzzkill alert / potentially useful info: Spoke with them last night - they do not want any campers, anyone setting up camping gear, no waiting overnight, no drinking in the parking lot or outside beers later on...

Again, why would anyone be waiting overnight? The limits are so low on most things that I'd bet a majority of the stuff does not sell out.

The Solstice, while having awesome bottles for sale, is about the party/music/camaraderie, not stocking up on your limit of bottles and hittin' the road.
