I have confirmed(unofficially) through a couple bartenders at Belmont that they will be serving Younger at some point in late Feb. Having just read this release, sounds like even they dont know when yet. I guess this is to be expected though.

I blame this thread for the 504 Gateway Time-Out I keep getting.

Is anyone willing to divulge what places in Orange County might be getting some?

The idea of someone keeping locations that will have this a secret so that there is no line seems counter to the idea of a Beer ADVOCATE.

I only waited for 15 minutes to get 6 bottles of Surly Darkness.

I guess thats why ill never get Pliny.

There looms a day that we go to war with our brothers, there will be a great schism, and on the day that war ends, beerhoarder.com will be born, and half our members will set sail for selfish shores.

I would suggest following tap rooms on twitter etc. Oregon actually gets a pretty healthy allotment. Bottles NW, Apex, Baileys Taproom, Belmont Station all usually get it. I would shoot for whomever gets it first as fresh PtY is outstanding. Some places sit on it for a few months before they crack it and it just isnt the same

The Colorado Younger locations will all be posted on Westword and the local beer sites as the establishments know more. It's not like RR ships secret kegs to a random Chilis in Arvada.

Down here in Southern California, bars have taken to raffling tickets (for charity, of course) for their pours. Lines are obnoxious and by the time the employees and special friends get theirs, there is only enough for a few people of the literally hundreds who line up.

This is why we homebrew, people.

Sometimes I think this place should be called beerhoarder.com

Beachwood BBQ always gets some. Buy a raffle ticket and you MIGHT get a glass.

Get a good look at this post above folks, as it is warning sign of where good beer, one of the most communal things in the world, could be headed.

So that 8 hour line, that was on a weekend I assume? Any estimates for how the line will look prior to opening on a Tuesday or something?

Weekday for sure. Get in line with breakfast in-hand and plan on having lunch their with your 3 Plinys and any number of the other beers they will have on tap. The 8 hour waits are on the weekends

Anyone in Philly have any gouge from previous years? I want to know if a trip is feasible, or just say screw it and go buy some more HF. :sunglasses:
