Rochester Craft Beer Expo

Darkness might be the only one since there is more of it around this year. I thought they brought it the first year, I could be mistaken though.

 

Kinney Creek is going to be there?!?!

Better buy my tickets now before they are all gone...
I wonder if I can buy tickets at Kinney Creek...? It'll help me avoid what is sure to be overloaded websites, long waits at local establishments that sell tickets... There is never anyone at KC so it should be a quick in and out.

They had Syx the first year, no Darkness though.
I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything like that. There will probably be a couple special kegs/firkins but no whales or anything.

 

Imperial stouts are so damn good, I'm having a hard time wanting to switch back to ales, lagers and ipa's

 

Surly brought Darkness the first year in 2012, I have a pic of me standing by their sign. I think they had Five too, I remember being very happy.

I would say Darkness has the best chance of being there, I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or 2 of the others as well.

Did kinney creek really use "Abyss - Oatmeal Stout" as a name? really? Don't get me wrong I've seen beers have similar names, but that one seems pretty egregious.

 

Kind of disappointing program imo. Although tallgrass has had special kegs both years, I bet they do again.

 

Yeah, pretty weak, hopefully some brewers will bring extra goodies!

i think they should've spent a little more time editing that program. jeez. green flash and ballast point are mixed around, surly doesn't make "blakkar", olvalde's got some messed up formatting, lift bridge is not one word, ...

kind of embarrassing.

 

Well it's Rochester. At many places if you ask what's on tap you get responses like "Surly" or "Summit" or "well Coors Light is on sale for way too much money".

 

I'm heading over there Saturday morning since I got free tickets for it. Only about 3 hours from Sioux Falls for me. I'll just get plowed on some flagship beer and explore Rochester since I've never actually been there.

 

Brothers Bar is having a New Belgium Tap Takeover the night before (May 2nd), featuring Lips of Faith beers

 

Pretty sure this isn't English class and 'most' who read it get the idea. I'm sure the percentage of people actually looking at the program will be far less than those who do...

 

I hear a Rochester Bar/Resturant will be tapping BCBS on Saturday @ 5pm.... (And I called and validated it)
