    I remember imports being a lot bigger overall. I mean, there's still a few Trappist and lambics on the top lists, but that's about it.

    Also, -bals everything.

    The trend towards special or limited release beers in (boo!) 22 oz bottles.

    Look at past top lists, and it was "off the shelf" beer that you could actually buy at a fair price.

    Late thirties is not old nowadays (although I do feel the age catching up to me at 26).

    Anyway, congratulations! I'm surprised that you met your wife/girl on beer advocate, though. Congratulations on that, too!

    I hit my 10 years on BA right after the OP. Can't even remember how I learned about the site in '04. I have yet to find the love of my life...besides beer, of course.
