    I only paid like 11.99. $2 a beer. $8 is fine.

Anyone know anything about Bloom Brew's status? They aren't dropping enough hints to satisfy my curiosity.

I wish I was in town for the Roundabout shindig. They make great beer, and are both really friendly. I'm excited we're approaching Jack'd Up O' Lantern season.

Side note... I have a bottle of Jester King Mad Meg if anyone in Pittsburgh cares for it. I'd do a trade for something unique or even something easy to obtain like Head Hunter.

On another side note, I am digging that some of the new places are dog-friendly. Makes convincing the wife to go out after work easier if we can bring Sammie. Both Brew Gentlemen and Grist House are that I know of. If anyone else knows any dog-friendly places please share. Not a brewery, but Dad's in Monroeville is as well on the new patio.

I know it's not close to you, but the Double Wide Grille in the South Side has a completely separate "dog patio" next to the normal patio...

How good is this Roundabout Unnatural Love?

It's seriously excellent. At 9.3 abv, its dangerous. The only other beer I've had that was this high and this drinkable was Hop Ranch from Victory.

F***ing stellar. Been a while since I went back for a second serving of something. If you don't go and try some, it's your loss.

I popped in last night on a whim and couldn't really make it today for the par-tay. Hopefully next time. We need a pittsburgh bottle tasting or something. I have well aged beer that needs to be enjoyed.

I had some on Friday, Saturday, today, and took 2 growlers home (one for tonight and one for a trade). Like cans of Goya nectar. If they made this year round, we could finally have an IPA I would be happy to send to friends.

I was there for a few beers earlier this afternoon as well. My thoughts exactly on the Unnatural Love.

Were any of you working the outside freebie pour? I see this one guy everywhere and I have to assume he's on here. You helped me brew my Malibu Blonde at the Copper Kettle last summer and I see you at the gym from time to time. If you are out there, you know who are. BM me please. I want to put a handle to the face.

To the brew, would I be out of line to describe Roundabout's IPAs delicate? I can't think of any other adjective to describe them. They are caulk full of flavor but they are not a full palate wrecker like other top rated IPAs are. Granted, my go to is Head Hunter and my favorite beer is Hop JuJu...two beers that are ANYTHING but delicate. They are in-your-face hop bombs and I love them for it. But for one reason or another, I love Roundabout's IPAs and hoppier offerings too. Hy-PA, Pacific Ring, and Unnatural Love are all brewed with the same finesse. They just work. They aren't like other hoppy beers I typically enjoy and I can't liken them to any other beers I like. But I still enjoy the shit out of them. Can't explain it...

Yeah, i definitely agree. That's probably because the IBUs on them aren't like 100+. I enjoyed Hop Juju and thought it smelled great, but to keep me coming back, I prefer less bitter IPAs. The Unnatural was fantastic because it smelled delicious and went down super easy and was more refreshing than mouth numbing. He also uses a lot of the same yeast strains that Anchor uses, which probably helps attribute a smoothness to the beer.

Quite the opposite. I dislike most local breweries and am quite critical of them. The more I think about, the more I'd liken his IPAs to Flower Power, a beer that I love. I think they have a lot of the same characteristics. Flavorful, great mouthfeel, but not a crushing amount of hops. Not a citrus bomb, not terribly piney, not herbal or floral.

The unnatural love was AWESOME. I will be getting a growler or two of it this week for sure. Love the late hopped beers. I think Steve will brew it again for sure he said he would've liked it a bit drier and less noticeable alcohol which i agree with but it was great as is. Thats a beer that if they knocked it down to 8-8.5% and decided to can would def compete with the best double IPA's out there. I liked it better than Voodoo Good Vibes, which I like a lot.

Glad to see you liked it, we've got a lot of big malty beers planned for this fall in that same wheelhouse.

On another note, we're releasing our Galaxy DIPA with chipotle and mango this Thursday, only pouring one sixtel but would love to have y'all down here to try it.

    Cheers,
