Pittsburgh Tasting?

    Anyone interested in getting a bigger tasting together like the one we had at the beerhive in winter 2013?

    If you didn't attend it was pretty awesome. We tired to do it again but failed pretty bad.

    Just wondering if there is any general interest in doing something like it again.

    I'm interested. Should we do a specific beer style tasting or just randoms? And if it's going to be an IPA tasting I'll bring some Head Hunter.:grinning:

    I'd be down for a big stout tasting. We haven't done one of those in a while. Might not be the top vote getter in July though.

    I think randoms work well. Bring whatever you want but try not to go GE beforehand and get a bottle of Dragon Milk or something. Possibly something you can't get around here or something that you don't see everyday.

    Really? I will take your word for it Nate since that was probably the last tasting you were at :wink:. Maybe it is a popular choice then, but Im ok with randoms as well

    I'm pretty sure I still carry around a permanent hangover from that one after I didnt go to bed until noon THE NEXT DAY.

    Do we have an idea on a timeframe on this? August, September? Friday's, Saturday's? Thoughts on a location? Someplace old, someplace new? I think we can figure out what to drink later.

    I travel a decent amount so please let me know when we have something. I'd love to be able to bring something solid. I have some decent beers aging in my fridge but only borderline worthy of a tasting.

    In and probably a friend or two as well. We should do a google doc spreadsheet where ppl list what they're bringing so we can do verticals or at least avoid duplicates

    Sorry buddy, someone beat you to it.

    Agreed on the google DOC. Any thoughts on where we should do this? Beer Hive is definitely a good choice, but am not opposed to some place new.
