Better to say something that accounts for sloshing and glass, just in case. I always say "marinades"; for one thing, who's to say that's not the expected use?

I just hope he's a father and not a nicu nurse....

Me? It's knowing I've not had Pelican's Mother Of All Storms. And- The restraint required when I hear something horribly inaccurate about beer, or craft beer specifically. MOST of the time, because I'm not really a "confrontational" individual, I let it go. But when the person is grating on me due to the attitude, as opposed to ignorance without intent to kill, I have to step in. It usually leads to a "teaching moment" and I've found ways to come off as passionate but non-douchey. Trust me, it wasn't easy at first. In other instances, fighting douchey with douchey never works.

regarding #3 - sounds like you need fridges dedicated to beer. If finances are a concern, search craigslist and similar sources. I have 3 refrigerators and a cool cellar for storing my beers. I only bought one of the fridges (used) and they all work well.

    Cheers,
    Matthew

Distribution and prices for great beer. I just visited two stores where I often shop, price increase on two beers, BA Old Rasputin is now $24.99 ($19.99 last year) and Parabola $26.99 (I bought three bottles at $16.99 earlier this year).

My wife has said the same thing to me. I cellar beer under a sink in an upstairs bathroom we don't use. It maintains a nice temperature and it's dark. When my wife went in there one day she saw my 40 or so bottles under the sink and flipped out. We negotiated a weekly "budget" for my beer habit as a result of that day!

I see no downside to being a BA.

If she still gives you a weekly budget, you've got yourself a good woman!

Perhaps the most frustrating thing for me is when I get an off-batch of beer and all I can taste is extreme piney hops. I mean, it doesn't happen that often and it's usually porters or stouts that have this problem but it really does suck when it happens. For example... about two weeks ago I bought a 6-pack of Anchor Porter and it's nothing but a mouthful of extremely bitter piney hops, I can't taste anything else. Every bottle has been like this and it makes me feel like I just threw away money on this beer. Can anyone explain why this happens?

Good point, if everything was distributed everywhere everybody brewing beer would be broke.

Good call. The concern isn't finances though, it's space. A shitty little apartment can make life less than optimal sometimes.

Negotiating a weekly budget would mean admitting how much I currently spend...
