The Prairie 'Merica is a good suggestion otherwise find the most dank tropical fruit forward ipa. As far as craft beer goes, can't get anymore American than that right?

Nobody has yet suggested Sam Adams Boston Lager?

I would go Sam Adams Boston Lager, then Yuengling, then Budweiser. Craft, semi craft, then macro.

Also, congrats to everyone here! It is a great feeling that people want to come to the USA and enjoy the opportunities that so many natural born citizens take for granted (I am 28 and hate most of my generation. Except the women...I do love the women.).

That does sound like a concoction that could only come out if the US. Might have to track one down some day.

Look for another version, seems like with a sound approach this beer could be great. The one I tried was the opposite

I'm flat-out stunned that no one has suggested...

Granted, it's brewed by a Danish brewer, but the label art draws its inspiration from the The Boss, who's pretty damn American:

And, OP, while you may not have been Born In The USA, once you pass your citizenship exam, you will know more about the U.S. than a tragically large number of people who *were* born here, as evidenced by your "52 states" story.

Sam Adams of course lol. Their Octoberfest is out right now, easily available and cheap, and pretty tasty too!

My suggestion, since I assume you can get it, is a nice fresh Traumer Pils.

WhyTraumer? It too is a naturalized US citizen.

Its was once an Austrian beer that originated in a German style that was adapted (borrowed) from a Bohemian original created by a German brewer. It is however, brewed in the US and brings to the table lots of sublties and complexities hidden beneath the surface that can keep enjoyment and pleasure strong for a long while even after the beer itself is gone.

In all seriousness, how about a "black and tan" with an aussie and american beer?
