Yeah there's a huge annual share in my area, I wasn't able to go last January, but my buddy who went said they were using Cantillon as a "palette cleanser" ... sometimes bottle shares get a little ridiculous.


Speaking of ridiculous, you people know the shipping window is the back half of October, right?!? Man, I have literally not started planning this box yet besides taking a peek at my target's wants. Fortunately he doesn't seem to be the type to mind terribly (at least, I interpret radio silence as generic apathy, hope I'm not wrong)

 

I had an IPA or two that needed to be consumed ASAP

 

Well I might end up shipping 2 or 3 different boxes or 1 big box for beer; and a smaller box later for rest of stuff. Can't figure out if I wanna. Ship one big box or 2 slightly smaller big boxes and a small one for shirt/glass and some great local treats. I wish peaches shipped and were in season, best peach in the world comes from georgia.

 

Or maybe. Large box with lots of smaller boxes almost like presents.

 

Yeah, since we know everybody is gonna follow all the rules on maximums too, right?

And we wanted boxes to arrive in the second half of the month -- the 9th or 10th is close enough.

Plus we get pRon sooner!

 

Yeah, in the first round I think most shipments were multiple boxes. But I think most were simultanously shipments, although that's obviously not a requirement.

 

Yeah, nothing is leaving KY until, at least, the 15th. I need some time to get these boxes right.

At least, I know exactly what the treat will be...

 

Hint #3 - My target has NOT been on BA as long as I have

 

They still have bottles of this?!?! This boggles my mind because that beer is so damn amazing imho. It's too bad it's an 8 round trip drive for me...

 

Anyone in here have ANTEAD they want to trade? Saw it won gold at GABF haven't had an opportunity to try this one yet. Would rather try to work something out here first before hitting the ISO:FT forum.

Avg score for bombers+750ml is 91, avg score for 12oz bottle+cans is 90
12 different styles.

I think we can all assume that GABF medal winners should be insta wants on anyone's list. BTW, all of the beer I am sending has won medals at Nick's Apartment Beer Fest, so my target should be quite please with what he receives.

 

Yea I had Kentucky Dark Star and ANTEAD (and variants) on my wants but the awards just pushed me over the top to ISOing them. The Jaguar Shark is completely new to me and new to wants. Pretty cool name though.

 

How much are tickets to this event? seems pretty exclusive!

 

I am surprised too, won't complain though. There were quite a few pekoe getting it to go while I was there. It's a 4 hour round trip for me but was a nice day for a drive.

 

Also managed to hit 5 or 6 of targets wants.

 

I guess you haven't had a peach from Fairfield, Texas.

 

I actually most likely have, I lived in texas for 3 years. In katy, and sugarland/Missouri city area. Couldn't tell you for sure though,that was 6 or 7 years ago. However we have some white peaches here, that melt in your mouth, juicy, and almost taste like candy they are so sweet.
