Stumbled across this on CrowdBrewed and was wondering if anyone else here was backing it. If so, does anyone else have any kind of insight into what kind of potential the brewery has? I've always enjoyed contributing to these when I can as it's always nice to help a good, new brewer come to fruition. The grand plans sound well enough to me thus far.

The Owner/Founder is Christian DeBenedetti. He's one of the most well-known beer writers (for magazines, books, etc). He penned the Great American Ale Trail. Dude knows his shit. Personally, I'm looking forward to the opening more than any other in North America right now. I'm definitely planning on funding the brewery, and I'd suggest others do as well...you won't be disappointed - I know Christian has been planning this for many years. The location of the brewery, on his family's hazelnut farm also adds to the allure. Expect some serious, heavy-hitting beers from them.

If you need more reason to believe - he recently attracted the head brewer from Jester King to his team. So there's that too!

Looks like they've sold 41 of 75 Cellar Society memberships in like...a day. Ok. You sold me. I'm in.

Hopefully Jordan sends some of these bottles/kegs down to JK for us to sample.

So, they are creating their own scarcity market for their beer... smart business move.

Yeah. Shit. It's in the US - Northwest forum. Not my region so I hadn't thought to check there. Actually, it's suitable right here as it's probably more visible to anyone outside the Northwest. But you know...no biggie regardless.

I think it's just part of the natural maturation of the beer industry and if people enjoy the beer enough to buy it, regardless of the specific reasons, then that's the final word.

Besides, you and I can smugly sit back and drink all the beers phenomenal beers available at a fraction of the cost and save our money for more important things.
