I've obviously looked up the lists on Places here at BA, but I want recommendations from real people. Looking for your favorite, brew pubs, beer bars, and phenomenal food recommendations. Flying out there tomorrow for the week. Anything from great pizza to more up scale food. Whatcha got for me??

How upscale for food? If you want to really do it up, do Frasca in Boulder. Slightly less expensive but also amazing food can be found at Oak at Fourteenth, The Kitchen, or any number of places...Boulder is foodie heaven.

And Westminster is whatever you would call the opposite of that. Foodie Hell? Unless you love yourself some chains! haha

Actually, there is a great breakfast spot, Early Bird. Otherwise yeah, lots of chains and crappy Mexican places. If you want a quick bite, Larkburger is good. Cracovia is a good Polish spot if you want that. Saltgrass is actually a good steak place. Hana Matsuri has probably the best sushi out that way and I think the chef there came over from Sushi Den. But if you want sushi, just make the trip to Sushi Den, it's worth it.

I'd recommend the Arvada Beer Company, 4 Noses, and Kokapelli Beer Company--all in Westminster. Unfortunately, there's not too many food places...the ones mentioned above are quite nice.

I kid. I wouldn't know to save my life, I avoid the North Denver suburbs like they've got ebola, frankly. Maybe my loss, who knows.

1 out of 3 ain't bad - Arvada Beer Company (Arvada); 4 Noses (Broomfield).

The Yak & Yeti is just a few blocks north of Arvada Beer Company. Really good Indian/Nepalese food and their IPA and Chai Stout are both world-level medal winners. That location usually has 4-5 other beers, too.
You can walk between Arvada and the Y&Y easily.

And if you're going to do that, you might as well head a block west from ABC and hit up Grand Lake Brewing.

Two absolute must-hit places in the Denver and Boulder areas for amazing food and incredible beer selection are Hops & Pie on Tennyson St. in Denver, and Backcountry Pizza and Taphouse in Boulder. Cannonball Creek Brewery in Golden makes exceptional beers and the owners are the shit, so support them! If you're looking for great sours and great bartenders, Crooked Stave is a good option. Also, Avery has a cool taproom with good small bites from the catering company across the street and several taproom only beers. Have a good time out here!

Go to The Post in Lafayette. Order deviled eggs, fried chicken, any side, and whoopie pies for desert. Their beer is pretty good too. Thank me later.

No love for Westminster Brewing? I think they're pretty solid.
