I believe Terry and Al brewed these together. I could be wrong though.

Not at all trying to be argumentative, but I'd enjoy hearing some insight regarding who you feel the other "big guys" are.

Likewise - not trying to be argumentative. I was only referring to the 'big guys' based on which breweries seem to have a lot of very highly rated beers in the style they seem to specialize in. SARA/Side Project/HF saisons, Cigar City stouts, (insert VT brewery here) IPAs, etc. Not a commentary of a breweries size, just more so trying to take the general consensus into consideration and comparing prices across breweries.

Permasmile and Intangible are awesome. Terry's old Bullfrog beers are awesome too from all I've heard, and the new Bullfrog stuff rocks too. Those beers are totally worth the price point and there would be (and should be) a line to buy them for $30. I'm just saying that I think 5 different grape variations in the same sour for $30 a piece is quite a lot.

Maybe the goal is that the bottles sit for a little while and people can just come in and buy them whenever? I could be totally wrong too and people could buy them out by 9am. Al's/Pizza Boy is a great place and I hope they totally crush it, but I just think the price is too high relative to the other options in bottles at the same or lesser price points.

Go to Al's with some friends and split some of the bottles and see for yourself if they're worth the money or not. I have had quite a few of them already, they're exceptional.

I actually have the exact same criticism of the Bruery for what you just mentioned.

To the part about Terry kicking butt? No doubt about it.

Selinsgrove isn't really "nearby" in my opinion. It's like an hour north and Bullfrog is almost 2 hours north.

Not a brewery, but Café Bruges in Carlisle is pretty nice if you like Belgians.

Maybe Bube's Brewery in Mt Joy, since you're coming from the east anyway.

If you're coming in via the turnpike, you'll go right past Stoudt's. It's just off exit 286.

The first tier commanding and getting third tier prices seems standard practice in the industry.

Tis the season for holiday gift packs.

For $18 Al is selling a 3 bottle package 22oz bottles that contains 1 each of Sunny side up (freshly bottled last night), simcoe samurye and west shore ipa.

He put the disclaimer of while supplies last so im guessing they will be gone before I can get there tomorrow. But I think thats a pretty good deal that I wouldnt hesitate to buy if I was able.

I agree that it is a great deal, I can't wait to try SSU in bottles. I love that stuff!

Selin's Grove is worth any amount of driving, IMO. Only 45 min. north of Pizza Boy up Rt. 15. Easy drive. Highly recommended.

Anyone have any idea when SSU might hit stores? Really need to try that one. Absolutely loved Simcoe SamuRye (still got one in the fridge), although West Shore was a little disappointing. Solid, but I had very high expectations after SamuRye.

My buddy picked some up in philly today, not sure where though. A couple suburb stores (trenton road and phillys craft beer) posted they had them today as well.

The "base" beer was a version that did not have Little Amps coffee in it. I believe the first time this beer was brewed part of the batch did not have any coffee added. They learned their lesson and didn't do that anymore.

The stuff on tap is the same as what went in to the bottles.

Was there a couple days last week, and the one on draft is the Little Amps (the same one still available in bottles). There were plenty of bottles, and I would assume draft to last for awhile.

The sunny side up bomber I picked up on what I thought would be my sole consolation prize on Black Friday was the Vietnamese Coffee version, 9.5% abv. Absolutely the best coffee stout I've had hands down. Ever.

I honestly wish I picked up a case of that instead of BCBS - its that good. Really hoping to find more of it asap.
