I pee in them and then store the bottles in a rented storage unit, then write the time, date, and what beer it was made from. I have 26 storage units full of piss bottles. I do this so the government can't track what I'm drinking, just one of the many ways I outsmart Uncle Sam.

I keep bombers and a couple cases of 12 oz. bottles on-hand for homebrewing. I give screenprinted bottles to a friend who makes them into glasses. I recycle the rest.

I've had thousands of beers so far, and that's not counting for variations among packaging from year-to-year or different sized formats for the same beers even. Even saving just the cool ones would take up a ridiculous among of space. I do keep the occasional label though, for some project that I may or may not ever do in the future.

Save them up and eventually turn in all the bottles and crates for the deposit and let the store pay me to take their beer. I love deposits.

I used to keep them for homebrewing, but then i started kegging beer, and then i stopped homebrewing (well, i'm on a 2-year hiatus anyway), and then i realized i was >40 years old and I have enough junk already. So now they go straight to the recycling bin.

I'd like to keep some of the cooler ones, but I have nowhere to put them. That's why if you look through my phone it's all pictures of my kids, and beers I've drank.

Recycle them, after removing the labels that I like.

Here in British Columbia we have a bottle return policy. When buying your beer you are charged a 10-20 cent recycling fee per bottle. When you finish you just take your bottles back for a refund, where they either send them for re-use or recycling. Now if I have any cool bottles or labels I'll take pictures and post on my Beer Review Facebook page for everyone to enjoy.

Peel the labels off to put in a photo album, clean off residue and then give the bottles to my neighbor who home-brews. I do occasionally keep the bottle if it's one of the better ones I've had (NB Fat Tire, NB Snapshot, NB Trippel, Milk Stout Nitro, Jai Alai).

I recycle everything if I am at home. Only rare exceptions such as my bottles of Westy 8 & 12 which were a gift the first Christmas my wife and I were dating. That's when I knew she was a keeper.

I have enough trouble justifying the space my full bottles take up to the wife, so I pretty much recycle all of them.

The only exceptions thus far are my attempt to collect the Game Of Thrones bottles and a couple of Kansas City local beers commemorating the championship season of Sporting KC and the AL Championship of the Royals.

I have a "beer wall" of my favorite bottles, the rest are recycled.

I have about 4 cases of empties that I cleaned and occasionally use for homebrew, but I mostly keg now.

I just started saving some of hte bottles with really cool labels (like pipeworks last kiss, some of the jolly pumpkin beers, pseudo sue etc). I"m going to buy a bottle cutter, some wax, and make some candles out of them.
