NC Beer Events/Fests

    What are some of the best events to go to in NC? Trying to plan a few this year

    Sourfest in Charlotte was a lot of fun and pretty good bang for the buck. The Raleigh rare beer tasting seems to have a pretty strong lineup, but I've never been. If you can make it down to Charleston, Brewvival is always worth the price of admission.

    Salud Sourfest
    Wicked Weed/Pints for Prostates Sour Fest
    NC Brewers and Music (2 nights camping)
    Octoberfest (the real one)
    Charlotte Beer Week (Duckworths Cask, Back Alley Brawl, etc.)
    Brewgrass

    Agree with the other recommendations but would also add Hickory Hops.

    State of Origin!

    This will only be its second year but is a unique and quaint fest showcasing only beer brewed with North Carolina grown ingredients, hop and barley farmers and all local food. One of a kind.

    I know it is way early, but has anyone heard any plans that New Belgium has for their 2015 grand opening?

    Summertime Brews Fest in Greensboro, usually in July is a very good festival. The Greensboro Coliseum is a great venue; easy in, easy out and near downtown.
