I got the same answer as thewimperoo got, so you probably will be able to get some on Thursday.

Any thoughts on how long a growler of Indignant would last unopened? I'm not sure how Haymarket actually fills their growlers (anyone know?) but I'm pretty sure they also do the heated shrink seal thing to the cap. Thoughts?

They bottom fill their growlers. Fairly standard practice.

If I remember right, they weren't bottom filling their growlers for awhile there..

Not that that means they don't now.

Yeah, the first couple of growlers I got there (even up until February or March) they did not bottom fill. However, they did bottom filled a couple growlers for me last Monday.

Will they fill any growler or just their own?

Mine wasn't bottom filled on Friday. I was also cracked it open later Friday night and it was com completely flat come Sunday afternoon ( didn't reopen Sat). Bummer for the carbonation, but still tasted great.

And yes, they fill any growler.

So if I get a bottom-filled growler, how long will it typically last if I don't open it? I know it really varries, but are we talking 2 days? 2 weeks? 2 years?

I had a bottom-filled growler of Big Hugs sitting in the back of my fridge for about 3 months and it kept surprisingly well. I personally wouldn't chance it much longer than that, especially if you are paying $36 for the contents.

Is it still on tap????? Maybe I should get a refill and experiment.

I picked up a growler of the first release of bourbon indignant and kept that sucker in my fridge for MONTHS - we just drank it a few weeks ago and it was still excellent. If you're gonna sit on it keep it unopened and in the fridge and I'd bet it will keep pretty well, but as always YMMV - this is just my personal experience.

Bought a growler on Sunday, intending to drink with a few friends in the 4th...turns out, no one who actually likes BA Stouts is able to hang out. Soooo, sitting here tonight, 3 snifters deep. Love this beer, but 64 oz is going to be a journey.

I'd be interested in a growler if anyone is looking to swap. I can find something you'd be happy with $4$. BM if interested.

Just got a few growlers of Mathias on Friday, had one that night which was fantastic, and had the other Sunday night that left me angry I didn't crack it after the first growler. I've never had a bottom filled growler of anything, but I will be consuming growlers of IPA/APA in less than 24 hours. I'm not sure how a stout would hold up since it doesn't rely on hop related goodness, but 3 months seems like a long time.

I was just at Haymarket and got a growler fill. It's $36/41. I also got a 4 oz. pour for $3 and this is a fantastic beer! I definitely suggest letting it warm up. I had a Mathias, which was incredible, and also had an Angry Bird which was tasty as well. I was there for lunch and we split the buffalo chicken legs (insanely good!) and a burger. Everything was really good! Anyways, Indignant is still flowing and is very tasty!

$18 to fill up a 750 ML HF growler

I enjoyed the flavor, but it was hella thin bodied and it really detracted from my enjoyment of this brew

This is good to know. I have that HF 750ml that u gave me at DLD and have yet to use it. I think now would be an opportune time to fill it with some Indignant cuz I really don't feel like dropping $36 on a growler refill. Thanks Jeff!!
