GF does not bottle Alpine beers yet. Only draft.

We are have different tastes. I don't like Nelson, but really like Mosaic. Many I know and trust in their beer judging skills like Nelson hops, it is that one aspect of the flavor is off putting to me. Some don't like Fuggles becasue they just get "dirt" out of it, while I like the earthy aroma.

I'll be there. I've been super bummed out about having to move back east from Oregon so I'm hoping this stuff lives up to the hype and softens the blow a bit.

Tough to beat Nelson but I am having a hard time getting my head around it being effectively contract brewed ar F'n G flash. I suppose if it holds up to the original I will gladly imbibe...jury's still out.

Had my first Nelson, Duet, and Hoppy Birthday at the launch party in Arlington. Nelson was as good as advertised, the Sauvin hops really set it apart from typical west coast IPAs. Duet was also outstanding, I didn't detect much of a fruity aroma and Hoppy was very hop forward for a pale ale, great fruity smell also. I would grab any one of these first if they were in my man cave fridge.

Anyone seen any Alpine in PA yet? I can't believe if it's in NJ, it hasn't hit Philly, but I haven't heard anything.

so I go into my favorite Boston rib joint last night to get take out for the family and what's on tap ??? One of my all time favorite SD beers...a beer I've had via growler trade a few times ... And it's on tap. I almost had an accident in my pants....but recovered and enjoyed a pint before my baby back and pulled pork showed up. Is this a sign of things to come? Heady Topper on draft at Toronado in San Fran? Pliny on tap east of the Mississippi (in addition to Philly)?? It's bound to happen eventually......

I thought this was going to be about when these beers become available, how they're no longer sought out. Known as the speedway effect.

But yeah it's cool we're getting Alpine in the north east.

Probably not (Alpine being the outlier), but maybe that's okay, because it's a well-proven theorem that the accessibility of highly sought after brews is directly proportional to bitching and moaning cries of "Overrated!" and "This beer ain't the same!".

(But, seriously, HB being somewhat more available is badass!)

Alpine is only coming out there now because of their recent acquisition by Green Flash. It is pretty rad but don't expect Pliny dude

I have faith in this group always finding a new impossible to get beer that you absolutely have to try.
