Ill be coming from KY and stopping at 18th street also. Anyone know how many bottles per person they are allowing? Or how much they are?

I'm also staying in Schererville so inquiring minds would like to know.

I ain't got no Westly. I'm thinking Abraxas, Map of the Sun, probably a couple of RR sours, maybe an HF Anna, the list goes on.

I've been there, pretty cool spot. Half cigar shop half lounge.

 

If you are attending or arranging a bottle share for Friday night that is open to the public, shoot me a PM with the name of the venue, the address and the time and I'll get a list together so people can figure out where they want to be that night.

 

They always seem to put out that info pretty late and with vague details. Its a great location, with most of the party outside with live music and big bottle shares. Theres always a couple of BA bottles for sale and a big list of BA and other beers on tap. Also some good food on the grill outside. Its a pretty laid back awesome event.

 

Nice, and just two minutes from the hotel. Definitely stopping by.

If you recall do they dig pipes in the lounge or cigars only?

 

We'll be in the Hammond area as well.

 

Pretty sure pipes are cool, they had pipe tobacco there.

 

Saw someone in this thread mention a bottle share at the Hampton Inn Schererville the night before. I think we're gonna do that since that is where we're staying. That'll allow us to get to bed early enough since we're getting up at 5 the day of the event.

 

Just 31 days away. Made hotel reservations earlier this week and have a few bottles to bring for sharing. Taking the 25th off to head to Munster and stop at a few places along the way.

 

Check out Four Fathers In Valparaiso. They put out some good stuff and are just under a year old

 

Does anyone know how many years back they usually do vintage bottles of DL at the event? And I assume they sell them where the new ones are bought?

 

The only times I recall vintage bottle sales at DLD was last year 2010.

Last year, they sold them with all the other to-go beers, not in the DL sales area. I think they had 2011-2013, but I don't recall exactly. My speculation: This was a continuation of the cellar cleaning FFF's did last year that resulted in all sorts of random old BA bottles being released. Don't expect it again.

Per the DLD History thread, you could purchase 2009 bottles in 2010 if you gave up 1 bottle from your 2010 allotment. This may have been done to shore up allotments due to counterfeit tickets.
