Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

I guess I should add that I'm one of the crazy people that get there at 4am. I usually leave around 6. Pacing isn't a problem, I'm just damn tired. I'll probably head to the car and to take a nap later in the afternoon.

 

Is there a chance that Vanilla DL will still be around in group C if by some miracle I get a winning golden ticket? Or is it likely it will be gone to group A and B "winners"?

 

Lol, well then I may have someone to drink with that early.

I thought last year they put away "X" amount of each variant for each ticket group? Their was VBDL during group "E" last year.

 

We'll be there at 5, grill fired up by 5:30 and tasting tables/tent ready by 6. We'll see you there!

They said they did this last year. Our group (well 3 of the 4) all got BVDL in Group C, and we were towards the back of the line too.

 

Why would anyone bring BMC to this event?

 

To be an ironic hipster. Saw a dude last year drinking DDG out of the bottle. Ignored people who asked him for a pour. His tight jeaned friend had a giant can of PBR. Why?!

Clearly they are there just to look cool and care nothing about beer.

totally depends on the circumstance. If you're at a bar having a drink and you look over and see someone that has a beer you want and you ask for a taste that's a little odd. These big beer events like DLD however, a lot of the population of drinkers there are bottle sharing. in most cases people are very open to giving out pores and hopefully the person asking is kind enough to have something to give in return. In the end though it is their bottle and there's only so much to go around so you should not feel entitled to a taste of anyones beer. if they say no shrug your shoulders and move on.

Anyone else remember when people like that weren't part of the beer scene? They should've just stuck with their PBR.

 

There's a video that gets passed around here of these two dudes chugging bombers of BCBS Rare...Always brings a tear of sadness to my eye for the same reason.
