Anyone bringing an umbrella? I don't want to carry one around all day, just stand under yours when I'm not in a tent.

Anyone else on the 8am Jaks bus? I would've liked to have done Lansmans bus from Binnys, but with 2 kids at home and coming from the western burbs, that hour later departure time will save me some grief with the better half....that is until I come home and don't feel like doing anything other that eating greasy food and going to sleep while mumbling incoherently about whalez.

Just go to any grocery store or liquor store in the area. While i've not seen ZD in the stores, i was able to buy Yum Yum IPA in my grocery store (Strack & Van Tils) a couple weeks ago. They also had Permanent Funeral bombers as well.

Nope, Indiana blue laws. Breweries are exempt though and can sell to go beer.

Fuck yes. Having it by the brewpub was a logistics nightmare.

Hopefully the talk of them using rope and stanchions is true so they don't have the cutting disaster that was last year.

I've prepared by putting together a kick ass first aid kit - complete with tweezers and alcohol swabs to pull glass out of the poor bastards that fall into it.

they told me directly that they are using stanchions.....but that was like a few weeks ago. hopefully part of the reason they moved the area was so that they could use that setup.....

Back on the backpack topic, what do you guys think about bringing something like a 50 liter hiking backpack. Technically I can fit the base of it in a milk crate, but I just don't want to get turned away at the gate because of it.

Just drove past the brewery a few minutes ago. TONS of stanchions and line guards everywhere. Much bigger setup than last year as well. Lots of tents.

Very late to the thread and checking in. Will be headed down on Saturday morning and hoping to get there no later than 1:00 PM. Got in Group D so I hope the later arrival will allow me to survive the day. Bringing some goodies to trade/share as well with others.

Nice. I'll be the fat guy with a beard and a backpack full of beer.

(All kidding aside, I'll probably be sporting a Red Sox hat and will have some stuff to pop on the bus, too.)

Awesome! I'll be there with four other bozos, have a pretty thick beard, terrible posture, and a green backpack stuffed with beers. Happy to share some with y'all, as well! There'll be a group of five of us, so we'll have plenty to pass around to get the day going.

Looks like steel barricades for one of the food tents there. Good, maybe that means less people cutting in line or walking up and stealing the food being made for people who actually paid.
