    Another cloudy, wet, and unseasonably cool start to the day along the southern shore. Decided it was time to crack this vintage '12' and whip up some breakfast. Coffee still present, but faded, with a nice bittersweet chocolate-bourbon flavor. A different animal, yes, but still damn good.

    had this one to start my sunday.



    somehow i noticed some kind of off taste and just a small tart notice. normally it's full of fudge and sweet sticky bourbon.
    so when i looked closely to the cap, it turned out that there was some gold wax below the cap, so maybe there was a tiny hole whe some air could have got into the bottle?

    anyone else who has some of that experience?

    anyway... it was still really good. just a small difference

    Found a bottle of 3 Floyds Artic Panzer Wolf in the back of my fridge this morning while looking for a breakfast stout. What the hell, hops in the morning will work. It's not exactly fresh but surprisingly this is drinking and smelling awesome. I love the unique spicy, chai tea like taste I get from this beer.

    I had to be up way to early for it being my one day off this weekend. But it's going to be another nice day here in Oregon so I might was well start it off with a stout. Tons of chocolate and so damn smooth. [​IMG]

    Not sure what the can design is meant to represent/symbolize but the name is of this (as of very recently retired) brew perfectly reflects its flavor. Intensely hoppy and bitter with very little (if any) malts to offer balance: Bitter American by 21st Amendment Brewery (San Francisco, California).
